Many moons ago

It all started many moons ago when I was working late as usual, trying to get tomorrow’s things done today like I always do. I then ring up my friends and going over to one of my friend’s cafe for dinner. After dinner, the cafe’s boss asked me to join him for a drink since i’m free that time and i loved to drink.

I agreed even though i’m a little tired from the work and since the pub is along the road that i need to go through on the way home. Little did i know that, that’s the night that I will meet my wife. The pub looked alright, with buckets of beers all around and open mic/karaoke for guest to sing to their heart’s content.

Coincidentally I met one of my friend’s ex girlfriend there. She was drinking with another group and somehow she is a friend of the cafe’s boss as well. We had a chat and a few drinks and I was ready to head back after a while but somehow i insisted to drink a bit more and soon enough, there she was walking towards me table as she was invited by my friend as well that night.

We introduced ourselves and it felt nice talking to her. We clicked straight away and was having a good time with each other’s company that night and things developed from there on. I’m not the most romantic kind of guy nor someone that’s from a rich family and I’m glad, I’m really glad that i found someone that liked me for who I’m am. I’m gonna give her everything that i could and make her the happiest woman in the world. If you are reading this, I just want to say I love you dear. Thanks for always encouraging me to strive for better and taking care of me.
